Introducing Rock Choir

If you’ve ever wanted to sing in a choir, now’s your chance.

From Tuesday 23 January until late April, Old Lodge Lane welcomes the Rock Choir for a series of evening sessions.

You don’t have to have any experience, and you won’t have to pass an audition, read music or sign up on the spot.

Everyone gets the chance to attend a free taster session and take part in a normal rehearsal. If you feel it’s for you, then you can talk to your Choir Leader about the joining process at the end of the session.

As a new member, you may choose to simply rehearse with your friends or take to the stage at a variety of Rock Choir events and shows – it’s up to you. You can take as much or as little from the experiences on offer. You’ll never be expected to sing on your own or be put under any pressure.

What is Rock Choir?

Rock Choir is a contemporary choir set up in 2005 to offer people an alternative to the traditional classical or community choir, pioneering a fun new approach to vocal training and entertainment. Weekly rehearsals use well-known hit songs combining original vocal arrangements and performance elements.

There are now over 20,000 members across the UK. Each member is welcomed into the Rock Choir family where the power of music and the spirit of friendship has a real impact on people’s everyday lives. More info on the Rock Choir website.

How much does it cost?

After your free session, Rock Choir costs £25 a month, payable by direct debit. This works out at £100 for each of three terms. Payment options are made as easy and flexible as possible.
